Vironova to negotiate a 6M Euro R&D contract
STOCKHOLM – February 18, 2010 – Vironova, the Swedish biotechnology company, today announces the successful evaluation of a 6M EURO bid to fund its Influenza drug development programme. The funding bid was submitted to the European Commission´s Seventh Framework Programme in October 2009 in competition with proposals from top influenza scientists and companies around Europe.

STOCKHOLM – 18 februari, 2010 – Bioteknikföretaget Vironova AB (publ) meddelade idag att de valdes att gå vidare till förhandling inom EU´s Sjunde ramprogram för forskning med sitt projekt för utveckling av läkemedel mot influensa. Förhandlingen omfattar upp till €6 miljoner, ca 60 MSEK från EU-kommissionen. Vironova kommer att koordinera projektet, som sträcker sig över 4 år. Ansökan var ett i konkurrens med ett flertal andra förslag från ledande europeiska vetenskapsmän och företag.
