New white paper about AAV sample characterization using TEM

  • Broken particles
  • Proteasomes
  • Protein or membrane-based cell debris
  • Residual DNA
  • Capsid content (full/empty)
  • Aggregates
  • Remnants of helper virus

These are all types of contaminants or morphological features typical in Adenovirus Associated virus (AAV) samples that can occur during gene therapy development. By using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and automated image analysis software tools they can easily be identified and quantified accurately. Powerful analytical data are obtained that can be used when making decisions in process development or to confirm critical quality attributes in QC  during manufacturing.
