The management team of Vironova includes members with many years of experience in the areas of research and development, sales and business development. Between them they have extensive experience in supporting the biopharma industry with technologies for product development, with strong technical background in electron microscopy based image processing and in addition with over 20 years of experience of strategic sales and marketing to this segment.
Mr. Homman has a M.Sc. in Chemistry and B.Sc. in biology from Uppsala University in 1998. Mohammed has been the driving force behind the development of the virus analysis technique and VN-180. He has received several national and international awards in recognition of his entrepreneurship and innovative research achievements. In 2003 Mohammed was chosen as one of the “Leaders of Tomorrow” by the Academy of Achievement, USA.
Ida-Maria is an associate professor (docent) in computerized image processing at Uppsala University and holds a Ph.D. in image analysis from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences as well as an M.Sc. in molecular biotechnology engineering from Uppsala University. Ida-Maria has a solid background in theoretical and applied image analysis and pattern recognition. Ida-Maria has worked at Vironova since 2007.
Maria Homman holds a PhD in polymer technology and has been a manager within R&D at AkzoNobel (initially Casco Adhesives) for 10 years, with responsibility for the development of products from idea to market, as well as customer support. Dr. Maria Homman was previously Member of the Board (2006-2011) and Chairman of the Board (2006-2008).
Mats Henriksson is the Chief Revenue Officer at Vironova in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been in management roles and worked as a management consultant providing consultative advice and services in strategy development with focus towards digital strategy and transformation framework, demand and lead generation management, sales and marketing strategy. Working with C-level and middle management with change initiatives to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. Mats holds a M.Sc. in Financial Economics from Gothenburg University. Previously CMO and Management Consultant at ProSales Institute and ProSales Consulting.
Anders holds a M.Sc and Licentiate in Physics from Stockholm University. He has worked in the software industry for 20 years and built up a solid expertise in development processes and interaction between software and hardware. Anders has been a part of Vironova since 2016. He has previously held positions as senior software architect as well as founding and leading the software consultant kompany Kutso AB.
Josefina holds a Ph.D. in biophysics and structural biology from the Karolinska Institute and an M.Sc. in chemistry from Uppsala University. Josefina has unique expertise in structural analysis of viruses and nanoparticles, electron microscopy and its industrial applications, gained from the PhD program “Biotechnology with an industrial focus” and from her work at Vironova. Josefina has worked at Vironova since 2007.
Lennart holds a B.Sc. from the University of Gothenburg. He brings more than 19 years of extensive sales and marketing experience from the pharmaceutical industry to Vironova. Lennart has a solid background within the fields of haematology, nephrology and rare diseases. Prior to joining the company, he has held positions as Sales Operations Director, Nordics at Alexion Pharma Nordics AB and Associate Sales and Marketing Director, Nordics at Shire Sweden AB. Lennart has worked at Vironova since 2018.
Gustaf Kylberg is the head of R&D unit at Vironova. Gustaf and his team do research and method development within automation of electron microscopy and analysis of various biological including vaccines, gene therapy vectors and drug delivery particles. At the heart of his methodology are image processing, pattern recognition and machine learning. Gustaf together with the excellent R&D team advances Vironova's technology platform to make sure that the company is prepared to help its customers in the future. He has been heavily involved in the development of the MiniTEM system; an easy to use table-top transmission electron microscope that provides a high degree of automation.
Johanna is the Quality Director at Vironova. Johanna has 20 years of experience from the Life Science industry and she has worked in different roles within quality assurance, quality control, pharmaceutical production and distribution. She holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Linnaeus University. Johanna has worked at Vironova since 2018.
